1. Overview Simple POS Pro (“we,” “our,” or “the App”) is developed as an offline-first Point of Sale, billing, and inventory management application. We prioritize your privacy: we do not collect, store, transmit, or sell any of your personal, customer, financial, or business transaction data to external servers or third parties.
2. Information Collection and Storage
- Local Data Storage: All business data—including product lists, sales records, customer and supplier ledgers (Khata), expense reports, and receipts—is stored locally on your device’s internal storage.
- No Remote Cloud Syncing: The App operates without requiring an external user account or remote database. We have no access to your stored business data or transaction history.
3. Device Permissions & Why They Are Needed The App requests only the standard Android permissions strictly necessary to perform its core functions:
- Camera (
android.permission.CAMERA): Used solely for scanning product barcodes during inventory setup and checkout. No photos or video feeds are recorded, saved, or transmitted. - Bluetooth & Nearby Devices (
BLUETOOTH,BLUETOOTH_CONNECT,BLUETOOTH_SCAN): Used exclusively to discover and communicate with paired Bluetooth thermal receipt printers (58mm/80mm). - Storage / Media Access (
READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE,WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE/ Scoped Storage): Used exclusively to generate local database backups and save exported reports (PDF, CSV, Excel) to your local file system.
4. Third-Party Services The App may utilize standard Google Play Services (such as Google Play Licensing or In-App Billing for pro version activation, if applicable). These third-party services may process technical device identifiers in accordance with the Google Play Services Privacy Policy.
5. Data Security & User Responsibilities Because all records are stored locally on your device, the security and integrity of your data depend on your device’s physical security and backup practices. We strongly recommend creating regular manual backups using the built-in backup export feature and securing your device with a passcode or biometric lock.
6. Children’s Privacy Simple POS Pro does not address anyone under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children.
